Shannon Bradshaw
teacher
Shannon Bradshaw was introduced to the Ashtanga yoga practice in February of 2003, and immediately fell in love with both the physical and mental challenges of the practice. Shannon quickly transitioned from her routine of running, spinning and weight training to a daily yoga practice. As Shannon began to understand Ashtanga beyond the physical benefits, she immediately wanted to share the practice with others. Since deciding to teach, Shannon has become more committed to her practice and to discovering new ways to communicate with her students. Shannon has acquired knowledge and experience from more than her own practice. In addition to practicing with some of the best instructors in Atlanta, Shannon has trained with names such as David Swenson, Doug Swenson and Manju Jois. One of the most compelling aspects of yoga for Shannon is that the Ashtanga practice can never truly be mastered. There are always opportunities to learn, to grow and to extend the individual practice beyond limitation. With this in mind, Shannon's primary goal as a teacher is to consistently introduce new challenges all the while emphasizing patience and greater internal focus among her students.
