Class Descriptions

The suggested order of classes is:

  • Basics series (as often as possible), and/or privates
  • Intermediate (same as above), and/or mysore
  • mysore and/or vinyasa flow , power
  • primary series, and/or vinyasa flow classes, and/or mysore

    PRIVATES/GROUP PRIVATES*
    Focus: whatever student wishes to learn.

    8-WEEK SERIES ON THE BASICS OF ASHTANGA YOGA*
    Have you always wanted to learn Ashtanga, power or vinyasa flow yoga, but were unsure where to start? Have you been practicing a while but still feel as though you are missing some of the finer points?
    Focus: learn from the foundation up, including alignment, breath, gaze, etc... NEXT SERIES START DATE: FIRST WEEK IN DECEMBER.


      INTERMEDIATE**
    FOCUS: Exploring the first series of Ashtanga yoga. Knowledge of sun salutations and standing postures is assumed.

    MYSORE**to****
    Focus: to deepen student's practice at his/her own pace.
    Mysore is the traditional way that Ashtanga Yoga is taught. It is different from a standard class in that the teacher does not lead the class all together; each individual student moves at his or her own pace...

    FULL PRIMARY***
    Focus:flow with the breath from posture to posture through the entire first series of ashtanga.

    VINYASA FLOW***
    Focus:link mind, body and breath as you flow through different postures, creating strength, length and energy.

      HEAT, HIPS, AND THE FLOW***
    Focus: open up the hips through a fun and challenging vinyasa flow class.

    POWER ***
    Focus: build strength and stamina through vinyasas, standing postures, balancing postures and more.
