BEYOND BASICS **

An hour class perfect for someone who is returning to yoga, is short on time, or has finished the basics series. In this class the student should be familiar with sun salutations and standing poses of ashtanga yoga. The first 35 minutes will be the same in each class so students can continue to refine the foundational poses. During this portion of class, there will be less demonstration and more adjustments so the practitioner can develop muscle memory to achieve the proper alignment. The remainder of the class will be spent learning and practicing other seated postures and the closing sequence. Here the student can expect more explanation and demonstration. This class will build stamina, strength, flexibility, and concentration so beginner students can safely and confidently move into intermediate and mysore classes.
