Meet Our Founder and Teacher

Marsha McNeight

For over two decades, Marsha has passionately guided students to use yoga to manage anxiety, ease stress, age with confidence, and care for their mental health. At the heart of her teaching is the belief that yoga itself is the true teacher—that consistent, mindful practice is what creates meaningful change over time.

Finding the practice

Marsha began practicing Ashtanga yoga after earning her bachelor's degree in exercise science from GSU. Drawn to the discipline, strength, and clarity it brought, she quickly recognized yoga as a lifelong pursuit for peace and contentment. In 2003, she began teaching and was thrilled to turn her passion into a career. She became co-owner of Balance Yoga in 2005 and sole owner in 2014, dedicating herself to guiding students willing to do the inner work.

Teaching with experience and care

Marsha brings over 20 years of dedicated practice and teaching to every class. Her approach is compassionate, knowledgeable, and encouraging—making Ashtanga accessible to all levels. With Marsha, you’ll feel supported as you grow, inspired to stay consistent, and guided with both skill and heart. She makes the yoga approachable while keeping the practice joyful, transformative, and deeply personal. Her teaching is rooted in tradition but flexible to accommodate each student.
